Being able to create pieces uses restrictions on AI image creation, and binding constraints to specific apps like Microsoft Paint, I am able to evolve my style to prevent extreme advances in style. Pushed to use the tools available in Microsoft Paint, each piece is made differently, whether it be a form difference, color choice, or particular style, each one contributes to a fundamental process of change. This process feeds into the relevance of creative aspects by choosing an item that fits with a theme or subject, but for now most of them remain abstract, making it possible to apply them to any theme or subject.

Regarding design, Microsoft Paint also comes equipped with an AI Image Creator that can compete with the most robust software applications of today`s age.

You can see in the upper left the option to describe what you would like to create. This is a pretty simple line to help guide the creation process. So lets try entering modern ballerina skating on ice.

Here is what the image creator produces:

We have chosen the third option of the ballet style`:

Notice she is wearing ballet slippers on the ice, yet performing a pseudo-style figure skating move. While not getting into the psychology of AI, an interesting side note features skate marks on the ice and a strange looking color change in the ballet tights as they move upward from the ballet slipper to the butt. It is also interesting to note the choice of footwear, as it appears to be in ballet slippers rather than skates! This mispresentation of a key item was done for a reason, but will we ever know the mind of an Microsoft ai engine.

The facial features also present a modern style opera theme face, and appearing female, the choice of AI gives insights to gender preference allocations in sports. We have to understand how a key phrase presents limitations on design, while attempting to stay within guidelines of linguistic procedure versus constraints of creative design and elements of psychological interpretation.

The psychological interpretation of the text is the basis for discussion for designers and artists who attempt to also create something that is tasked. How do we describe what we want to see, what is put in and what is left out. this is the process of creation.

If you were tasked to describe the image above in a sentence, what would it be – this is the reverse engineering process of trying to describe the image for it to create. Not sure if that makes sense, but to create something, you have to enter descriptive terms, then show the image to your friend and see if they can describe what the image is. If they answered correctly, then the ai image creator did its job, but there are so many abstract references within the art it is hard to describe. I believe the above image is man playing poker with aliens, or something like that, but how many people will have guessed it – it is like a form of pictionary – so now lets try the image creator and enter humanoid stars and see what we get.

This is a form of brand consulting process, that you can use with your own project to test ais perception of what words mean. I am guessing it wont come up with anything, but lets check and see.

It took about 1 minute for the creator to generate the three images, so there is some thinking, or processing time. I am guessing the ai engine queries the words and generates millions of perceptions about what the variants could be before formulating a very professional looking image of what most people would hold as having no meaning.

AI Image creators have been in use for free around the internet and come pre-loaded on HP laptops and other laptops equipped with Windows OS.

So now let`s try Futuristic Humanoid and see what differences can be found.

Anyone can enter these items in their own version, please comment if you get different results. This is also a good part of the brand design consult process because sometimes ai can show us elements of knowledge that we may not have gathered, even during a good brainstorm session. What can these images tell us about the blurring lines between science fiction and reality! One thing I notice between the two images are the stars – which was a keyword in the description. It seems like it also connotates the word future as being lit, as in, there are computers sending blue lite into a sphere, which produces the robots through some sort of field production. These case studies are useful for humanoid engineers to get new process and design ideas by analyzing components in the image against components of existing prototypes, and this blue light production method. 🙂
